Peter denied the one he was so eager to protect. And Jesus was rejected by someone He was about to suffer and die for. Someone He loved. It reminds me of the times Jesus has had to watch me make poor decisions after He has already warned me. But even when we waver, God's love for us does not.
Multiple times this year, I've found myself in moments and situations when something I'd planned and worked so hard for, just didn't quite work out. It seemed like no matter how hard I prayed or prepared, God allowed doors to remain closed. I embraced the simple truth that no matter how hard you knock, God will not open a door you are not supposed to walk through.
Is it really as extreme as you're making it? Because it's only as extreme as you make it.
Regret has a way of showing up uninvited. Oftentimes, we think if this particular thing wouldn't have happened, or if I would have just said it this way instead... everything would be different.
As a daughter of God, you don't have to "prove" yourself to anyone else. You don't have to brag or convince anyone that you are valuable and worthy. God has already accepted you as His own and it is His opinion that matters.
The same God who knows the beginning from the end, knew that you would make mistakes. He knew you would never be perfect while on this earth, and He chose to love you anyway.
Honestly, we can't bring others to Christ if we are isolating them or speaking negatively of them. Not only does gossiping hurt others, it also taints your image and makes it harder for people to trust or respect you.
All of God's decisions concerning you are made out of His love for you. He has vowed to forgive you for every single thing you have ever done. Can you extend that same grace to others?
You have an enemy whose desire is to see you fall. Satan wants you to be as far away from God as possible.
Its not everyday that I get stuck in severe traffic. You know, bumper to bumper traffic, when it takes an hour to move a few miles. You're surrounded by other cars, and there's no way to get out.
