Happy Fri-yay! Today I will be sharing my favorite green smoothie recipe. When I first heard of green smoothies, I thought they looked a little weird. I was reluctant to try them. But after finally tasting one, I found they were actually pretty good. I’ve experimented quite a bit, but this has been my staple green smoothie recipe for the past 3 years.
- 2 handfuls of spinach
- 2 bananas
- 2 clementines
- 1 red apple (green also works!)
- 1 cup of Almond Milk (I use vanilla by Silk)
- optional: Ice (I typically just add a few cubes)
Instructions: Blend & Enjoy! I sometimes add chia seeds that have soaked over night. They serve as a great energy booster!
Note: After drinking these smoothies consistently, paired with my vegetarian diet, I noticed a significant improvement in my vision. I truly believe it has something to do with the spinach. Dark leafy vegetables are great for eye health!
