31 Days of Proverbs: Day 2

“Cry out for insight and ask for understanding. Search for them as you would silver; seek them like hidden treasures.”

Proverbs 2:3-4 (NLT)

What is it that you need right now? What is the one solution that could solve all of your problems? Often times, we may feel as though we need to have everything figured out, and quickly. What if, for a change, you didn’t have that pressure? What if I told you that it’s not your job? Thankfully, God doesn’t require us to have everything figured out, because¬†He already does.

Instead, God desires us to seek Him for the insight and the understanding that we are constantly searching for. He already knows the solution to the problem, the answer to your question. Not only does He desire that we seek Him for wisdom, but He also wants us to be serious and intentional about it. To search for it as we would hidden treasures. That denotes the value of pure, spiritual wisdom.

What answers are you seeking today? What impending decision do you have to make? Your answer is found in seeking the Lord. Even when you don’t recognize a change in your situation, trust that God is working in ways that are beyond what you can physically see.

“Call to me and I will answer you,¬†and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”

Jeremiah 33:3 (ESV)
